Could you introduce yourself? What is your background?

I am Jurate “Jade” Janusauske. I live and work in Lithuania. My background includes a position as a project manager for a variety of international companies, working on tasks such as project analysis, SupportDesk administration, designing and editing newsletters and other marketing projects.

I have Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management and 10 years of working experience. I started my business in 2008 and I love what I am doing now!

How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be a Social Media Manager?

I started as Virtual Assistant generalist but realized that I don’t want to be a “Jill of all trades”. With the variety of tasks as a generalist, I realized I was not maximizing my competencies in the areas I love, and where I excel.

I made a decision – to make some changes to ensure I was working in the areas where I am most passionate and competent – and therefore, can better serve my clients.

To attract ideal clients, I knew that I wanted to do that in a different way – and I chose social media. That was very effective because I got my first client, in just 3 days, on Twitter. I fell in love with that new way of marketing and communication. I knew that I was ‘on to something’ and that I could help my own clients grow their business in much the same way, with the same tools.

Who are your clients exactly?

I work with successful entrepreneurs who are really good at what they do…
… but have no idea how to use Social Media, have no strategy and don’t know how and when to use it
… know a lot about social media but realized that they are spending too much time there and are ready to delegate social media marketing.

How are you different from other “Social Media Managers?”

I only work with sole practitioners and with small business owners. I am committed to the practice of minimalism and digital organizing – that means, I am helping clients practice in a similar manner. I believe that every entrepreneur needs to have an authentic, and effective, strategy for engaging with the public.

Everyone has a unique message and my strength is in helping them to create a personalized shortcut, and strategy, for getting their message out there – and, thus, attracting their ideal clients.

What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?

I work best with positive and open minded people, who like new ideas and want to implement them. My ideal clients are entrepreneurs who think BIG, who want to delegate social media tasks – and believe, and trust, in the process so they can save time, and grow their business in this new economy.

Is there a type of professionals that you do NOT work with?

Please know I’m very selective in who I work with. I only work with entrepreneurs where I feel there is a fit and where we will get the best results, together!

I do not work with people who expect me to do every little thing for them when it comes to social media – they need to think ‘big picture’! I do not work with entrepreneurs who are risk-averse, who operate out of fear, who need to keep their fingers in every little aspect of their social media strategy. Nor do I work with people who are not open to suggestions and ideas for change.
